Job summary

SpaceX is building its first production-scale Air Separation Unit (ASU) at Starbase to produce high-purity liquid oxygen for Starship. You will operate cryogenic distillation systems, turbexpaners, compressors and related equipment while monitoring process parameters and supporting safety procedures.

The role requires hands-on experience with automated industrial processes, lockout/tagout, and a strong bias toward reliability and continuous improvement in a high-stakes environment.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, or process engineering technology (or equivalent industrial training).
  • 4+ years operating or supporting automated industrial processes.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor cryogenic distillation, turboexpanders, compressors, and LOX production.
  • Execute plant startups/shutdowns and process changes per procedures and alarms.
  • Perform field rounds, collect samples, log data, and report deviations.
