University of California - Los Angeles (UCLA) is seeking a Project Scientist to support cryo-EM data analysis, DASH HPC administration, and user training within the CNSI and EICN ecosystems in Los Angeles, CA.

The role encompasses end-to-end data processing, workflow development, and collaboration with researchers to translate questions into actionable analysis, with emphasis on reproducible pipelines and scalable computing.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a related field by the start date.
• Experience in single-particle cryo-EM and end-to-end data processing.
• Experience with Linux-based HPC environments and reproducible workflows.
• Strong communication and training abilities.

Responsabilités

• Provide cryo-EM data analysis and user support for internal/external users.
• Perform end-to-end cryo-EM data processing and validation.
• Coordinate user requests, project planning, milestones, and follow-up.
• Train users in cryo-EM processing, DASH usage, and data management.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, templates, and documentation.
• Monitor activity, resource usage, and improve workflows.
• Collaborate with CNSI IT on infrastructure and security.

Formation

Ph.D in structural biology, biochemistry, biophysics, computational biology, bioinformatics, chemistry, physics, computer science, engineering, or a closely related field
