The Howard Hughes Medical Institute’s Janelia Research Campus in Ashburn, Virginia, invites applications for a CryoEM Staff Scientist to advance high-throughput data collection and method development in cryo-electron microscopy.

You will lead cryoEM collaboration projects, design and optimize experimental workflows, train users, and troubleshoot complex datasets while maintaining rigorous peer-review of results. A PhD and experience with Titan Krios and associated workflows are required.

Qualifications

• PhD in a related field.
• Experience with cryoEM data collection and analysis.
• Ability to work with users and collaborators.
• Strong problem-solving and teaching skills.

Responsabilités

• Collect high-throughput data for users and collaborators.
• Lead the cryoEM side of collaboration projects.
• Build new methods and protocols when existing ones fall short.
• Plan experiments, review data, and determine next steps as a peer.
