Job summary

Hornblower Group is seeking a Restaurant Supervisor to lead front-of-the-house operations on cruise activities. You will assist with recruitment, training, shift changes, and ensuring guest satisfaction while keeping profits in mind.

The role requires strong guest service skills, supervisory experience, and adherence to alcohol service and sanitation standards. You'll work with restaurant managers and senior leaders to maintain high service quality across voyages, manage costs, and coordinate

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates Degree preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years guest service experience.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Responsible alcohol service requirements—TIPS Certification required.
• Health department sanitation codes & requirements—ServSafe Certification required.
• Energetic and enthusiastic personality essential.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Will work for extended periods without sitting.
• Required to lift furniture and other heavy items such as dishes up and down stairs.
• Will be available for work on all major holidays.
• Per US Coast Guard regulations, must be a US Citizen or a Permanent Resident.

Responsibilities

• Oversee front-of-house staff recruitment, training, coaching and retention.
• Support restaurant managers with shift changes and adherence to procedures.
• Coordinate with departments to fulfill guest requests and special events.
• Conduct pre-cruise briefings and relay essential information to staff.
• Ensure safety, health, and sanitation standards are met onboard.
• Ensure proper alcohol service and staff training compliance.
• Maintain staff adherence to health codes and company standards.
• Address guest service issues with diplomacy to retain guests.
• Evaluate staff performance and identify training needs.
• Assist in developing and executing staff incentive programs.
