American Cruise Lines is hiring deckhands for the 2026 season to work aboard ships for up to 28 weeks. You will help ensure safe voyages and represent the brand while performing lines handling, deck duties, and guest assistance.

Wages range from $1,000 to $1,400 per week with bonuses. Travel, room and board, uniforms, and training are provided. This is an introductory hospitality role with opportunities to advance within the company.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and a U.S. citizen or green card holder.
• Pre-employment drug test required under Federal law for shipboard employees.
• Alcohol consumption prohibited; safety training included in job duties.
• Temporary employment up to 28 weeks with potential for growth within the company.

Responsibilities

• Handle lines, gangways, anchors and marine equipment under Captain/Mate guidance.
• Perform exterior deck cleaning, line handling, and passenger assistance tasks.
• Stand helm watches and assist Captain and Mate in steering the vessel.
• Load/unload guest luggage and ship stores; assist with daily logistics.
• Clean exterior decks, verandas, windows, and marine spaces.
• Wash, dry, and fold shipboard laundry.
• Maintain grooming standards and uniform appearance.
• Be available to assist guests and crew; rotate through day-night schedules averaging 12 hours.
