Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System’s Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to perform routine modalities and coordinate care for patients in Council Bluffs, IA. The role requires an AS degree with a Respiratory Care certificate and CRT licensure, with a 6-month to 12-month experience consideration.

The position includes a 6:30p-7a shift with weekends and holidays on a rotating basis, and a $30,000 sign-on bonus for qualifying candidates.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate of Science Degree with a Respiratory Care certificate.
• Must be CRT certified and licensed to work in state (RCP license).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine modalities of respiratory care independently.
• Documents procedures in the patient record per departmental procedures.
• Updates patient care plans and goals to reflect needs.
• Receives and interprets physician orders and evaluates patients with attending physician.
• Communicates with the care team and other staff about patient progress.
• Maintains adherence to protocol guidelines and patient satisfaction goals.
