Job summary

Medical City McKinney is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist for day shifts. You will perform diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care, manage ventilation, and work with a multidisciplinary team to support patient health and safety.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, delivering oxygen and aerosolized therapies, supporting artificial airways, and educating families while maintaining equipment and infection-control standards. Texas hospital setting with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required within 6 months of start date.
• NBRC-RRT certification and active licensure as Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner (RRT/RCP-State) preferred.
• Associate degree in Respiratory Care or closely related field.

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status and determine interventions.
• Deliver therapy including oxygen, aerosols, airway clearance, and ventilation support.
• Manage ventilation and airway support; respond quickly to clinical changes or emergencies.
• Educate patients and families and assist in newborn stabilization when needed.
• Maintain and disinfect equipment per infection-control standards.
