Job summary

Medical City McKinney in McKinney, Texas is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist - PRN to support patient care across emergency, critical care, and acute settings. You'll provide diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care including ventilation management, therapies, and patient education.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Neonate Resuscitation must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• NBRC-RRT certification required
• RRT/RCP-State license required
• Associate Degree required
• ACLS or PALS certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients with respiratory conditions across emergency, critical care, and acute settings
• Deliver oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, airway clearance techniques, and other respiratory therapies
• Manage ventilation and airway support including invasive and non-invasive ventilation
• Educate patients and families and collaborate with physicians and nurses to optimize care
• Maintain and disinfect equipment and ensure compliance with infection prevention standards
