Job summary

Medical City McKinney, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist for the day shift (7A–7P). You will perform diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures, manage ventilation across emergency, critical care, and acute settings, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

The role offers mentorship from experienced RT leaders, access to advanced respiratory technology, and opportunities for ongoing professional growth within a supportive, patient‑centered environment.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications must be completed within 6 months of employment start date.
• NBRC-RRT certification required for employment.
• State-licensure (RRT) with active status and credential verification.
• Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status and determine need for interventions across care settings.
• Deliver oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and airway clearance techniques.
• Manage ventilation and airway support, including invasive/noninvasive modalities.
• Educate patients and families and collaborate with physicians and nurses.
