Job summary

Medical City McKinney is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist to support patient care in a high-acuity environment. You will work day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, delivering evidence-based respiratory therapies across emergency, ICU, and acute care settings.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, provide education to patients and families, and participate in continuous professional growth with access to advanced respiratory technology and mentorship from RT leaders.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications completed within 6 months of start date.
• NBRC-RRT certification required for eligibility to practice.
• RRT license in state of Texas required or in process.
• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
• NICU RRT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status and determine need for interventions.
• Provide oxygen, aerosolized meds, airway clearance techniques and other therapies.
• Manage ventilation and airway support, including invasive/noninvasive ventilation as needed.
• Educate patients and families, collaborate with physicians and nurses, support newborn care when required.
• Maintain equipment and ensure infection control standards.
