Trinity Services, Inc. is seeking a Certified Recovery Support Specialist for the Living Room Program in Joliet, IL. You will provide peer support, help design personalized recovery plans, and connect participants with community resources and services.

The role emphasizes outreach, empowerment, and collaborative care, with evening hours on the 2nd shift. Lived experience and CRSS certification are required, along with WRAP training or willingness to obtain it.

Qualifications

• Lived experience as a consumer of mental health or substance use services (required).
• CRSS certification required.
• WRAP certification or willingness to complete training.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate peer support to individuals in mental health crisis.
• Collaborate with individuals to develop a personalized recovery plan.
• Teach and model effective problem-solving techniques and coping strategies.
• Assist participants in identifying strengths, recovery goals, and barriers.
• Serve as a role model for recovery with coping techniques and self-care practices.
• Participate in trainings and meetings to improve peer support.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess high-risk indicators.
• Conduct outreach to connect participants with community resources.
• Provide follow-up to ensure continuity of care.
• Assist with Living Room upkeep and daily operations.
• May float to Joliet Living Room if staffing coverage is needed.
