Qualifications

• Lived experience as a consumer of mental health or substance use services is required.
• CRSS certification is required.
• WRAP certification or willingness to complete training.
• GED or high school diploma required; additional education a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate peer support to individuals in mental health crisis situations.
• Collaborate with individuals to develop a personalized recovery plan.
• Teach and model effective coping techniques and problem-solving.
• Assist participants in identifying strengths, recovery goals, and barriers.
• Serve as a recovery role model with self-care practices.
• Participate in trainings and meetings to improve peer support.
• Collaborate with teams to assess high-risk indicators.
• Conduct outreach to connect participants with community resources.
• Provide follow-up to ensure continuity of care.
