Job summary

The Crown Store in New Bremen, Ohio seeks a dedicated supervisor to lead daily store operations, staff development, and merchandising across both physical and online channels.

You will recruit, train, schedule, and coach employees, coordinate mail order processing, and ensure accurate, timely shipping and paperwork. Strong communication and local travel flexibility are essential to promote the Crown brand.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree (Business) required.
• 2-4 years related experience; non-degree considered with 6+ years of experience and a HS diploma or GED.
• Ability to drive a personal vehicle for company business < 20% per week and local travel between locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, hiring, and training store staff. Make compensation recommendations and communicate decisions to direct reports. Prepare work schedules and coordinate workloads.
• Coordinate day-to-day operation of the store; supervise store employees; process mail orders and international shipping paperwork when needed.
• Meet with suppliers, compare pricing, and plan merchandising to support the Crown brand and sales goals; manage online and in-store merchandising.

Job Duties

• Supervision / Employee Development - Assist in recruiting, hiring, and training of Store candidates/employees. Make compensation recommendations and communicate decisions to all direct reports. Participate in any complex personnel situation along with management. Prepare employees' work schedules, coordinate and prioritize projects and workloads. Perform duties such as creating/revising job descriptions, rating performance, establishing/tracking goals and completing annual wage reviews. Responsible for coaching, mentoring, and developing direct reports to successfully take on additional responsibilities.
• Store Duties - Coordinate the day-to-day operation of the Company store and supervise store employees. Communicate with mail order customers when necessary. Process incoming mail orders, enter into system, package ship and process appropriate paperwork. Prepare international shipping paperwork when needed. Order all mail order shipping supplies. Decorate store, display merchandise and ensure the store is adequately stocked with clothing and specialty items. Utilize social media, email communications, and print advertisements to promote the store to the Company's branch and dealership network when appropriate.
• In-Store Merchandising - Meet with suppliers on new products and compare to Company needs. Gather information on pricing versus sales price to determine feasibility of offering product to customer. Bring in sample products to inspect quality. Plan new ideas for the store to support Company employees, customers, visitors, branches, and dealers with high quality merchandise available at reasonable prices. Communicate with management to support potential marketing opportunities as well as determine customer needs and merchandising plans, which enhance the Company brand name and the achievement of overall sales and marketing efforts.
• eCommerce Merchandising - Maintain the store’s website. Develop innovative merchandising concepts and acquire new product lines that help to enhance the Company brand name through a unique online shopping experience.
• Miscellaneous - Serve guests and employees of the Company, as well as local area residents, who visit the store. Assist customers with questions, purchases, answer phone, etc. Create, maintain and review the store’s business reports. Montior the accuracy of the data entry and data within store database. Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate Degree (Business)
• 2-4 years related experience
• Non-degree considered if 6+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED
• Very little to no travel
• Job requires employee to drive a personal vehicle to conduct company business < 20% per week (8 hours) and/or travel locally between company locations during scheduled workday

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in merchandising within Internet retailing, physical retail store operation or catalog/direct marketing company. Good written and verbal communication skills.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Per 8-hour shift. Sit 3 hours and stand 5 hours. Typical office environment (low noise level, limited exposure hot/cold temperatures, dust, fumes, and vibrations). Regular interaction with others and performs a degree of independent work. Physical and mental demands are akin to the majority of office positions with prolonged periods of sitting and prolonged use of a computer/keyboard. Infrequent walking and climbing stairs. Occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs. Occasional use of office equipment (copiers, printers, etc.).
