Job summary

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy program completion certificate or documented competency with a minimum of 100 venipunctures.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use Epic or other electronic health record systems.
• Ability to travel to assigned PSC locations with short notice.
• Strong customer service skills and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient-centered registration, laboratory and diagnostic services in PSC settings with professionalism and safety.
• Performs blood specimen collection via venipuncture, capillary collection, and heel sticks across all age groups.
• Accurately labels specimens and verifies specimen integrity according to policy.
• Maintains knowledge of billing, order entry and registration workflows within the EHR.
• Operates PSC equipment and ensures infection prevention and safety protocols are followed.
• Collaborates with registration teams, couriers, and clinical staff to resolve workflow issues.
• Travels between PSC locations to provide coverage for absences and staffing gaps.
