Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an Engineering Specialist focused on Signal & Image Processing and Modeling & Simulation Engineering. The role requires strong technical foundations in astrodynamics, multi-phenomenology remote sensing, and advanced Python/C++ skills, with a Top Secret clearance.

You will translate program needs into analysis tasks, develop and enhance engineering tools, and present findings to customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (aerospace, astronautical, mechanical, or software), physics, operations research, or closely related field.
• 6+ years of professional engineering/scientific experience in multi-disciplinary environments.
• Technical understanding of astrodynamics.
• Experience with multi-phenomenology remote sensing techniques (EOIR, RADAR, RF processing).
• Knowledge of space domain awareness, missile warning/tracking/defense, C2, and kill-chains.
• Advanced experience with Python and C++.
• Top Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Translate program needs into modeling, simulation, and analysis tasks with program offices and customers.
• Develop and contribute to in-house, commercial, and government-off-the-shelf engineering analysis tools and products.
• Develop and present briefings and reports for customers.
• Model and analyze enterprise-level architectures with multiple integrated missions.
• Mentor junior staff and foster a learning environment.
• Travel occasionally as required.
