Job summary

TEGNA Inc. is seeking a Commercial Production Manager to lead a distributed team of 8–10 commercial producers across multiple Northwest markets. You will drive production from concept through delivery, balancing client needs with resource constraints and timelines.

The role partners with local sales leadership to ensure high quality, scalable creative output and efficient workflows, while guiding teams through operational changes and new technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Media Studies, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in commercial video production, production management, or related field.
• Extensive experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Premiere and After Effects.
• Proven leadership of teams across multiple locations.
• Strong understanding of video production workflows including pre, shoot, post, and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a distributed team of 8–10 commercial producers across markets.
• Oversee commercial production from concept to final delivery, on time and within budget.
• Partner with local sales leadership to align production with client needs and revenue goals.
• Improve sales-production workflows and cross-functional collaboration.
• Manage production capacity and resources across markets to meet client needs.
• Guide teams through change, including AI-enabled capabilities and new tools.
• Ensure quality control and adherence to standards for all commercial content.
• Plan production schedules, locations, talent, equipment, and budgets.
• Oversee budgets and manage external vendors and contractors.
