Job summary

TA Services in Detroit seeks a Director Cross Dock Operations to lead nationwide cross-dock activities, including US‑Mexico flows, ensuring on‑time automotive freight moves to meet KPI targets. You will manage 3PL relationships, optimize throughput, and drive continuous improvement across WMS and TMS implementations.

You will mentor regional teams, own the cross‑dock budget, and push safety, service, and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
• 4–6 years of progressive leadership in warehousing or cross-dock operations.
• Experience managing automotive logistics, JIT, and cross-border flows (US-Mexico).
• Direct experience with multi-site 3PLs and KPI-driven performance.
• Advanced knowledge of WMS, TMS, and analytics platforms.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred; strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary operational contact for customers, manage escalations, and lead performance reviews.
• Oversee 3PL and vendor management, audits, and SLA adherence.
• Optimize throughput, ensure production-window freight moves, and manage cross-border flow.
• Oversee WMS/TMS, leverage data analytics, and drive Lean/Six Sigma initiatives.
• Own budget, drive cost-per-unit reductions and lead regional teams.
