Job summary

Carter Logistics LLC is seeking a senior operations manager to oversee cross-dock and warehousing activities, drive safety performance, and improve productivity using KPIs. You will lead day-to-day operations, coach team leaders, and partner with customers to ensure service excellence.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of management in high-volume material handling, preferably automotive, with strong problem-solving skills and a solid background in shipping/receiving processes.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree or 3–5 years industry experience.
• College degree in business administration, commerce, management, industrial technology, or industrial engineering are strongly preferred.
• Must have 5+ years of management in high-volume material handling, preferably automotive.
• Strong problem-solving aptitude and ability to improve processes.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day cross-dock operation.
• Analyze and present operational data to support performance tracking.
• Train on safety procedures, processes, and customer requirements.
• Act as liaison between cross-dock and customers.
• Foster development of Team Leaders and staff.
• Lead and implement Kaizen activities.
• Ensure adherence to company standards and processes.
• Maintain a safe, productive work environment.
• Maintain accurate performance metrics.
• Work Monday–Friday; weekend requirements may apply with advance notice.
