Job summary

MaineGeneral Health is seeking an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) to join our ED teams at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta and the Thayer Center for Health in Waterville. In this role you support nurses and providers, assist with patient care, and help ensure timely, safe, and compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.

You will be cross-trained at both campuses, with shifts assigned by department needs.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Licensed EMT required.
• ED experience preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stay calm in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to work at two MaineGeneral locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care and assist with emotional, physical, and spiritual needs.
• Greet patients, answer calls, page codes and announcements.
• Perform ECGs, splinting, and specimen collection as delegated.
• Keep units and patient rooms stocked and clean.
