Job summary

MaineGeneral Health is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN to join our team and make a difference for patients in both Waterville and Augusta.

This 30-hour-per-week position requires two 12-hour shifts one week and three 12-hour shifts the next, with assignments at Thayer Center for Health (Waterville) and Alfond Center for Health (Augusta). You’ll cross-train in two EDs and support two clinical settings.

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in Maine or ability to obtain promptly.
• At least 2 years of RN experience, preferred.
• Prior/recent RN ER experience strongly preferred.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, MOAB, TNCC.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on assessment to optimize outcomes.
• Triages and prioritizes patient care based on acuity and resources; coordinates transfers and discharges.
• Provides patient/family education appropriate to age and condition.
• Delivers care and may precept students or new hires.
