Job summary

Southern Company Gas is seeking a Construction Operations Cross Bore Program Coordinator to oversee safe, compliant execution of the Cross Bore Program, reduce sewer-gas line risks during trenchless installations, and ensure investigations and resolutions align with company standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in a related field required.
• Minimum 3 years in sewer inspections or natural gas utility construction.
• Strong project management and QA/QC capabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Construction Cross Bore Prevention process ensuring work aligns with standards.
• Coordinate among sewer inspectors, Operations, and other departments to mitigate risks.
• Investigate, document, and resolve cross bore issues per company requirements.
• Maintain updates in GIS Cross Bore Application and other systems.
• Oversee day-to-day program execution, contractor coordination, and tracking.
• Manage sewer inspection activities with cost, schedule, and quality controls.
• Analyze data to identify trends and drive corrective actions.
• Support contractor management including PO, invoicing, and deliverable tracking.
• Participate in continuous improvement and risk-management initiatives.
• Collaborate with program manager on cross bore prevention initiatives.
