Job summary

Keystone Cooperative, Inc. is seeking Crop Technician Interns to support crop diagnostics throughout the growing season. You will scout fields, collect tissue and soil samples, conduct UAV flights, and assist with irrigation decisions.

The internship requires travel in the territory, strong outdoor work ability, and practical use of GPS and field equipment. Agronomy students are preferred, with a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle essential.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university.
• Agronomy students preferred; others with interest in ag-***/agronomy considered.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record, and a reliable vehicle.
• Ability to use an iPad, GPS software, and field equipment.

Responsibilities

• Scouting: create reports identifying weeds, insects, diseases, growth stages, stand counts and anomalies.
• UAV flights to observe fields, produce imagery and collect data.
• Tissue and soil sampling, including soil moisture probing and reporting results.
• Install and monitor moisture equipment; assist with field signs.
• 100% travel in territory; 75% in fields, 25% in training/tours/events.
