Job summary

Keystone Cooperative is seeking a Crop Technician Intern to perform crop diagnostics, scouting, and data collection across the territory in Indiana. The role involves fieldwork, UAV observations, tissue sampling, and soil testing to support timely decisions by the Ag Tech team.

The internship requires outdoor work in various weather conditions, a valid driver's license, and the ability to use an iPad and GPS tools. Expect a flexible schedule with training and travel.

Qualifications

• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in all weather conditions.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to learn quickly.
• Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
• Agronomy students preferred; others with a genuine agronomy interest welcome.
• Must have valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
• Ability to use an iPad, GPS software, and field equipment.

Responsibilities

• Scout fields and prepare scouting reports for Ag Tech team.
• Operate UAVs to capture imagery and collect data.
• Collect corn or soybean tissue samples for testing.
• Perform soil moisture probing and report data to the team.
• Collect soil samples for in-season nutrient monitoring.
• Organize, place, and remove field signs.
• Travel 100% within the territory; 75% in fields, 25% in training/events.
• Participate in weekly professional development activities.
