Job summary

Gold Star FS, Inc in Lyndon, IL is seeking a Crop Specialist to drive profitable sales of crop inputs, seeds, and services across the assigned territory. You will implement marketing plans, call on patrons, and build long-term relationships.

The role requires an Associate’s Degree in agriculture/marketing/business and 2+ years of related experience, plus a valid driver’s license and agronomy certifications (CCA/CCS/CPAg). Expect travel and extended hours during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in agriculture, marketing, or business and 2+ years of related experience in production agriculture.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record for operating required vehicle.
• Ability to obtain and maintain applicable agronomy certifications (CCA/CCS/CPAg, etc.).
• Willingness to work extended hours during peak seasons.

Responsibilities

• Implements marketing plans and develops sales strategies that generate profitable sales in the assigned territory.
• Uses target marketing and FS sales interview road map to engage patrons and prospects.
• Develops territory analyses to stay current on marketplace and competition.
• Provides agronomic recommendations and coordinates product delivery and service scheduling.
• Maintains customer credit terms, quotes, and contracts; promotes credit programs.
