Northern Ag, a division of Border Bank, seeks a motivated Crop Insurance Agent/Commodity Broker to join our Roseau, Minnesota team. Build client relationships, develop market expertise, and grow a rewarding career in agricultural finance.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of agriculture, insurance, sales or marketing, strong organizational skills, and a self-motivated drive to develop business opportunities while supporting risk management and marketing needs for clients.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of agriculture, insurance, sales, and/or marketing.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• A desire for continuous learning and professional growth.
• A self-motivated approach to developing business opportunities.

Responsabilités

• Obtain a Minnesota insurance license by passing the MN agent licensing exam and the Series 3 exam within 12 months (licensing fees paid).
• Build and manage a personal crop insurance client portfolio.
• Support and service existing crop insurance customers.
• Develop and expand a commodity marketing client base.
• Assist current marketing clients with risk management and marketing needs.
• Prepare and distribute weekly analytical market assessments for clients.
• Support local advertising and promotional campaigns.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and deliver exceptional service.
