Job summary

Simplot Grower Solutions in Burns, Oregon is seeking a Crop Advisor Trainee to learn under an experienced Crop Advisor and grow into a full Crop Advisor role within a long-standing territory. You will build trusted relationships with growers, recommend crop nutrition, protection, seed and technology solutions, and conduct agronomic consultations while gaining hands-on field experience.

This development position includes travel up to 50% to support growers and develop the skills needed for

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science, Agricultural Business, or related field.
Equivalent agricultural experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Valid driver's license required.
Ability to work outdoors in varying field conditions and seasonal schedules.
Agriculture sales, agronomy, crop consulting, or agricultural retail experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

Build trusted relationships with growers and ranchers across the territory.
Recommend crop nutrition, crop protection, seed, specialty, and technology solutions.
Conduct sales calls and provide agronomic recommendations.
Support growers throughout the growing season by monitoring crop performance and identifying opportunities to improve yields and profitability.
Manage customer records and collaborate with operational teams to ensure exceptional service.
Develop the skills and knowledge needed to transition into a full Crop Advisor role.
