Job summary

Simplot Grower Solutions in McCrory, AR seeks a Crop Advisor to support growers with crop nutrition, crop protection, seed, technology and other agronomic products and consultative services. The role reports to the Market Manager and drives growth within a defined geography.

You will promote the Simplot brand, pursue new business, provide consultative guidance, coordinate with peers and operations, and maintain accurate customer records and credit considerations. Travel up to 50% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) preferred; equivalent education/experience considered.
• 1-3 years of similar experience in the industry is required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook.
• Demonstrated focus on meeting customer expectations and delivering excellent service.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, teammates and customers.
• Self-driven and customer-service oriented; strong teamwork.
• CCA and PCA are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Grow new business and manage a customer base within a defined area to meet sales and gross margin targets.
• Market products to growers with sales calls, advice and consultative services, and agronomic programs.
• Collaborate with other Crop Advisors to increase knowledge, sales, and profits in the area.
• Interface with Region/Market Manager to execute market strategies and report trends.
• Ensure delivery, application and billing are handled; coordinate with operations for strong performance.
• Maintain customer agronomic and financial records and assist in establishing credit and resolving matters.
