Job summary

UAB Medicine in Pell City, AL seeks a Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and cardiac catheterizations. The role also supports clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.

This part-time position requires graduation from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program, current APN with CRNA certification by the Alabama Board of Nursing, ACLS, BLS, and PALS.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program required.
• APN with CRNA specialty certification required by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Work experience may not substitute for education requirement.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests, including cardio-thoracic procedures and cardiac catheterizations.
• Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
