Job summary

OSF HealthCare seeks a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to perform preoperative assessments and manage anesthesia for surgical cases. You will work with a team of anesthesiologists and CRNAs across multiple Illinois locations including Ottawa, Peru Mendota, and Princeton.

The role offers a diversified case mix, with shift options including 10, 12, or 24-hour rotations within a 40-hour schedule and a competitive total rewards package.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing or Anesthesia.
• 1 year experience as a staff nurse.
• APN/CRNA certification and BLS/ACLS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preoperative patient assessments and prepare tools for procedures.
• Evaluate anesthetic agents used for patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Observe patients during procedures and ensure safe emergence from anesthesia.

The hourly rate for this position is $145.82/hour. This is a Salaried position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist completes preoperative patient assessments and prepares and maintains necessary tools and resources for procedures. Responsible for evaluation of anesthetic agents used for patients before, during, and after procedures. Actively observe and assess patients throughout the course of procedures and ensures safe patient emergence from anesthetic. Performs supplemental anesthesia duties in situations as needed and directed by anesthesiologist.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing OR Accredited School of Anesthesia Experience: 1 year experience as a staff nurse License/Certifications: APN-Advanced Practice RN BLS from American Heart Association ACLS from American Heart Association Certification by American Association of Nurse Anesthetists OR accredited CRNA program PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1-3 years of experience as a staff nurse
