Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join a team of anesthesia professionals. You will perform preoperative assessments, select and monitor anesthetic agents, and ensure patient safety during emergence from anesthesia.

Responsibilities include intraoperative care, observation of patients, and collaboration with anesthesiologists. The role offers 10, 12, or 24-hour shifts within a 40-hour week across Ottawa, Peru Mendota, and Princeton IL.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing OR Accredited School of Anesthesia.
• Experience: 1 year experience as a staff nurse.
• Licenses/Certifications: APN-Advanced Practice RN; BLS from American Heart Association; ACLS from American Heart Association; Certification by American Association of Nurse Anesthetists OR accredited CRNA program.
• Preferred: 1-3 years of experience as a staff nurse.

Responsibilities

• Complete preoperative patient assessments and prepare tools and resources for procedures.
• Evaluate anesthetic agents used before, during, and after procedures.
• Observe and assess patients throughout procedures and ensure safe emergence from anesthesia.
• Perform supplemental anesthesia duties as directed by anesthesiologist.

The hourly rate for this position is $145.82/hour. This is a Salaried position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist completes preoperative patient assessments and prepares and maintains necessary tools and resources for procedures. Responsible for evaluation of anesthetic agents used for patients before, during, and after procedures. Actively observe and assess patients throughout the course of procedures and ensures safe patient emergence from anesthetic. Performs supplemental anesthesia duties in situations as needed and directed by anesthesiologist.

• Clinical base hourly pay range for this position: $145.82- $145.82
