Job summary

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program and school of anesthesia on or before the date of hire.
  • Current California CRNA certification and RN license required at hire.
  • National Provider Identifier (NPI) required at hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.

Responsibilities

  • Selects and administers intravenous, spinal and other anesthetics as part of the anesthesia care team.
  • Monitors patient reactions and vital signs during and after anesthesia, with remedial action when warranted.
  • Submits postoperative reports and maintains anesthesia records.
  • Performs procedures outside the operating room in accordance with policies, competency, and MD orders.
  • Communicates with physicians, reviews charts, and documents pre-anesthesia evaluations.

Education

Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program
Graduate of an accredited school of anesthesia by date of hire
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required
