Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in California is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join the anesthesia care team. You will administer intravenous, spinal and other anesthetics, monitor patients during procedures, and document postoperative status according to KP policies.

You may perform procedures outside the OR with physician order, review charts, and collaborate with anesthesiologists and surgeons to ensure patient safety. State licensure and certifications are required at hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program; California RN license required at hire.
• Graduate of an accredited school of anesthesia by date of hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support required at hire.
• Basic Life Support required at hire.
• National Provider Identifier required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preoperative anesthesia evaluation and consult with anesthesiologists/surgeons.
• Review charts and pre-operative data to identify variations per policy.
• Evaluate airway and document pre-anesthesia evaluations.
• Explain tests, procedures, and major anesthesia risks to patients and families.
• Develop and implement anesthesia care plans and monitor during and after procedures.
• Assist in post-anesthesia care unit and document patient conditions.
• Perform procedures outside the OR with physician order and maintain records.
