Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to provide anesthesia under the supervision of anesthesiologists for a wide range of surgical procedures at UAB St. Vincent’s Birmingham campus. The role includes participating in education and clinical instruction for nurse anesthesia students.

The division supports autonomy in a collaborative team with surgeons and anesthesiologists, offering exposure to multiple specialties in a large academic medical system.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program.
• Currently certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
• ACLs/BLS/PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests.
• Participate in the clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
