Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join the Division of Community Anesthesia at UAB St. Vincent’s Birmingham campuses.

You will provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures, participate in nursing anesthesia student instruction, and enjoy a collegial environment with anesthesiologists and surgeons. This position features no on-call, weekend, or holiday shift requirements, and offers the chance to work across

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program required.
• Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
• Licenses / Certifications: Currently certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provides anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests.
• Participates in the clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
