Job summary
UAB Medicine in Alabama is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse procedures, including cardio-thoracic surgery and cardiac catheterizations. The role includes clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
The position offers a strong pay range of $185,000 to $248,986 per year, a $45,000 new hire sign-on bonus, full-time shifts, and comprehensive benefits including PSLF eligibility, paid time off,
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program required.
- Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
- Currently certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
- Currently certified with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Currently certified with Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Currently certified with Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
Responsibilities
- To provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests or cardio-thoracic surgical procedures and cardiac catheterizations.
- To participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
