Job summary

UAB Medicine in Alabama is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests or cardio-thoracic procedures and cardiac catheterizations. You will also participate in teaching nurse anesthesia students.

The position offers a substantial salary range, a $45,000 sign-on bonus for eligible hires, and a comprehensive benefits package as part of a large academic medical center.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program required.
• Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
• Currently certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
• Currently certified with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
• Currently certified with Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Currently certified with Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests or cardio-thoracic procedures and cardiac catheterizations.
• Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
