Job summary

UAB Medicine seeks a highly qualified Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide anesthesia under the supervision of an anesthesiologist for diverse procedures. The role includes involvement in cardio-thoracic surgery and catheterizations, as well as clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.

Qualifications require CRNA certification by the Alabama Board of Nursing, ACLS, BLS, and PALS.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program required.
• Current CRNA certification with APN status by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
• ACLS certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• PALS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests or cardio-thoracic procedures and cardiac catheterizations.
• Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
