Job summary

UAB Medicine in Alabama is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for full-time anesthesia coverage across diverse surgical procedures and cardiac catheterizations. You will work under the direction of an anesthesiologist and contribute to clinical instruction for nurse anesthesia students.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program and current CRNA certification by the Alabama Board of Nursing, with ACLS, BLS, and PALS at a minimum.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program required.
• Currently certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
• Currently certified with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
• Currently certified with Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Currently certified with Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests or cardio-thoracic procedures and cardiac catheterizations.
• Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
