Job summary
UAB Medicine is seeking a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) to provide anesthesia under the supervision of an anesthesiologist for diverse procedures, including cardio-thoracic surgeries and catheterizations. The role includes teaching nurse anesthesia students as part of clinical instruction.
Qualified candidates hold an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program graduation, APN with CRNA specialty in Alabama, and ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program.
- APN with CRNA Specialty by Alabama Board of Nursing is required.
- ACLS certification, BLS certification, and PALS certification are required.
Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical, diagnostic, cardio-thoracic procedures.
- Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
