Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL seeks a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests. This is a full-time role supporting education of nurse anesthesia students.

The ideal candidate will hold an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program credential, be currently certified as a CRNA by the Alabama Board of Nursing, and maintain ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program.
• Currently certified as an APN with CRNA specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
• ACLS, BLS and PALS certifications required.
• Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests.
• Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.

CRNA credential (Nurse Anesthesia Program) – accredited

APN CRNA certification – Alabama Board of Nursing

ACLS certification
