Job summary
UAB Medicine in Alabama is seeking a CRNA to provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests, including cardio-thoracic cases and catheterizations. The role also involves participating in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
Candidates must graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program, be an APN with CRNA specialty per the Alabama Board of Nursing, and hold ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program required.
- Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
- Currently certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with CRNA Specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
- Currently certified with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Currently certified with Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Currently certified with Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
