Job summary
UAB Medicine in Alabama seeks a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests, including cardio-thoracic cases. You will participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
The role requires graduation from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program and current CRNA certification through the Alabama Board of Nursing, plus ACLS, BLS, and PALS credentials.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program required.
- Currently certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
- Currently certified with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Currently certified with Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Currently certified with Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests or cardio-thoracic procedures and cardiac catheterizations.
- Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
