Job summary

Ashton North LLC in East Chicago, IN is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a full-time, permanent role with optional 1099. Work hours are Monday–Friday, 7am-3:30pm with an on-call rotation evenings, weekends and holidays.

The position offers a competitive hourly compensation, relocation assistance, and a comprehensive benefits package. You will collaborate with surgeons and a multidisciplinary team while delivering safe anesthesia care in a high-tech HIMSS VII

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program.
• Current state registered nurse license.
• Current state advanced practice nurse prescriber license.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Proficiency with Epic EMR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document a pre-anesthetic assessment and evaluation of the patient.
• Develop an appropriate anesthesia care plan based on patient history and surgical needs.
• Select, obtain, and administer the anesthetic, adjuvant, and accessory drugs and fluids.
• Manage patient airway and pulmonary status using masks, endotracheal intubation, or mechanical ventilation.
• Facilitate emergence and recovery from anesthesia by selecting and administering medications.
• Provide post-anesthesia follow-up care and evaluate patient response to anesthesia.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff in a multidisciplinary team.
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols and infection control standards.
