Job summary
A certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) opportunity in East Chicago, IN. Full-time with a Monday–Friday schedule and on-call rotation evenings, weekends, and holidays. Competitive hourly pay and 1099 option available.
Relocation assistance is offered. Expect to work in a tech-forward facility recognized for HIMSS Stage VII standards, with opportunities to shape your practice and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program.
- Current state registered nurse license.
- Current state advanced practice nurse prescriber license.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists.
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Proficiency with Epic EMR systems preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform and document a pre-anesthetic assessment and evaluation of the patient.
- Develop an appropriate anesthesia care plan based on patient history and surgical needs.
- Select, obtain, and administer anesthetic, adjuvant, and fluids.
- Manage patient airway and pulmonary status.
- Facilitate emergence and recovery from anesthesia.
- Provide post-anesthesia follow-up care.
- Support multiple ORs and various suites.
- Participate in on-call rotations.
- Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and maintain HIMSS Stage VII standards.
- Collaborate with surgeons and nursing staff.
