Qualifications

• Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the COA or its predecessor.

Responsibilities

• Assists with data collection and evaluation of the patient's medical and surgical history relative to the planned procedure.
• Maintains a safe environment and responds to emergencies and safety hazards.
• Prepares and administers medications and fluids per safe practice standards.
• Maintains vigilance with airway, anesthesia depth, fluids status, and physiologic response for patient safety.
• Completes required documentation: surgical safety checklist, pre-operative assessment, intra-operative record, and transfer-of-care note.
• Logs incidents in the Safety Portal.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor
