Qualifications

• Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor.

Responsibilities

• Assist with collecting, reviewing, and evaluating data pertinent to the patient’s medical and surgical history relative to the planned procedure.
• Maintain a safe environment and respond appropriately to emergencies and safety hazards.
• Prepare and administer medications and fluids in accordance with accepted standards of safe practice.
• Support ongoing airway, anesthesia depth, fluids status, and physiologic response to anesthesia for patient safety.
• Complete required documentation: surgical safety checklist, pre-operative assessment, intra-operative anesthetic record, and transfer-of-care notes.
