Job summary

Avera Marshall Hospital is seeking a highly qualified Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join our anesthesia team at the Marshall campus. The role involves performing pre-operative assessments, developing patient care plans, and ensuring safe anesthesia delivery across varied procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess CRNA certification with an active license, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic operating room environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold active CRNA or RN licensure in practicing state.
• CRNA must be board-certified and in good standing.
• NBCRNA certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre-operative patient assessment.

• Establishes and maintains venous access.
• Ensures airway establishment and maintenance.
• Induces and maintains anesthesia; monitors throughout.

A Brief Overview

Cares for patients at all acuity levels across the lifespan in a variety of settings for procedures including, but not limited to, surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and pain management.

What You Will Do

• Performs a pre-operative patient assessment.
• Determines a plan of care and communicating the plan of care to patient and family.
• Establishes and maintains essential venous access.
• Ensures establishment and maintenance of airway.
• Responsible for inducting, maintaining the anesthesia, and proper monitoring.
• Responsible for completing the anesthesia and the emergence from anesthesia.
• Transfers care to appropriate staff at termination of procedure.
• Performs post-operative follow-up for each case performed.
• Perform as a clinical instructor for anesthesia students.

• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist - National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) Upon Hire
