Job summary

Avera Milbank Area Hospital is seeking qualified anesthesia professionals to provide comprehensive perioperative care. You will perform pre-operative assessments, plan and communicate anesthesia care, establish airway and venous access, and monitor anesthesia throughout procedures.

Responsibilities include post-operative follow-up and potential instruction of anesthesia students. Active CRNA and RN licenses are required, along with NBCRNA certification and strong teamwork and communication

Qualifications

• Current active licenses: CRNA and RN in state of practice.
• NBCRNA certification required.
• Excellent communication with patients and families; teamwork.
• Adequate vision/hearing to perform duties and ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Performs a pre-operative patient assessment.
• Determines a plan of care and communicates it to patient and family.
• Establishes and maintains venous access.
• Maintains airway and monitors anesthesia.
• Induces and maintains anesthesia and manages emergence.
• Transfers care to appropriate staff at procedure end.
• Performs post-operative follow-up for each case.
• Instructs anesthesia students as a clinical instructor.
