Job summary

Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD seeks a Certified Nurse Anesthetist to administer anesthesia across procedures and supervise anesthesia staff. The role involves pre-operative assessment, airway management, and post-operative follow-up within a multidisciplinary team focused on moving health forward.

The candidate must hold CRNA and RN licenses with NBCRNA certification, and be able to work rotating shifts. Sign-on bonuses up to $50,000 are available; PTO and retirement benefits apply.

Responsibilities

• Pre-operative patient assessment.
• Determines a plan of care and communicates it to patient and family.
• Establishes venous access and airway management.
• Inducts and maintains anesthesia and monitors patient.
• Completes anesthesia and emergence from anesthesia.
• Transfers care to appropriate staff after procedure.
• Performs post-operative follow-up for each case.
• Serve as a clinical instructor for anesthesia students.
