  • Training and Documentation: create training materials and SOPs; train users on Slate functionality, processes, and reporting.
  • Functional Development and Process Optimization: configure and maintain Slate for Admissions and Slate Student; improve workflows, communications, and data utilization; ensure security and FERPA compliance.

JOB SUMMARY

The Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Systems Specialist plays a key role in implementing, maintaining, and optimizing Slate CRM systems supporting Admissions and Slate Student. This position collaborates with campus partners to independently configure and maintain CRM functionality, develop workflows, support the systems and data behind communications, and provide technical assistance that enhances the student experience and improves operational efficiency. The specialist translates business needs into system solutions, supports cross-campus initiatives that rely on Slate, and assists with communications, reporting, and data processes across the student lifecycle with a primary emphasis on online degree and online student experience. The position performs other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES
  • 20% - Diagnostics and Support: Serve as a first-level resource for Slate-related questions and issues. Collect necessary information, perform initial diagnostics, resolve issues when possible, and triage requests to the appropriate team members. Provide comprehensive Slate support for campus partners, including report development and maintenance, training, troubleshooting, and documentation. Monitor system usage and recommend improvements aligned with Slate best practices and institutional goals.
  • 20% - Project Management: In collaboration with campus partners and CRM team members, manage Slate projects and support the implementation of new Slate functionality through project teams. Assist with establishing project expectations, developing timelines, coordinating task assignments, scheduling meetings, testing functionality, documenting results, and managing stakeholder feedback.
  • 15% - Training and Documentation: Assist with creating and maintaining training materials, system documentation, process guides, and standard operating procedures. Provide training and support to system users on Slate functionality, business processes, reporting, and related procedures. Promote consistent and effective use of Slate across Admissions and Slate Student.
  • 45% - Functional Development and Process Optimization: Independently build, configure, and maintain Slate functionality supporting Admissions and Slate Student, including online applications, student-facing forms, workflows, portals, surveys, reports, and related system components. Support the day-to-day functionality of Slate platforms while identifying opportunities to improve processes, workflows, communications, and data utilization. Analyze stakeholder needs and translate them into system configurations that enhance efficiency and improve the student and staff experience. Support the systems, data, and processes underlining communications throughout the student lifecycle. Assist with system security, data governance, and FERPA compliance.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION
  • Expected Salary Range $53,142.00 - $70,000.00 Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL
  • Normal Operations - Required to follow emergency facility closure and modified operations directives, and not normally expected to work on-site during emergency situations.
